1. Wear Seatbelts

Someone said, “Wearing your seat belt is crucial if you are traveling in a car, and if you’re on a motorcycle, then wear your helmet and know that if sh** goes down, you may never walk again.” Many seasoned EMTs and ER docs can’t stress this enough.

2. Say No to Smoking

A healthcare expert commented, “Seriously, stop smoking. I like to guess how old the patient is in my head before I ask them. If they smoke I always overestimate their age- and not just because they look older, they tend to present earlier with “old age” diseases. Post-op, these patients almost always take longer to recover. Everyone knows that smoking is linked to lung cancer. Still, it is also linked to bladder cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, oral cancer, COPD, infertility, premature aging of the skin, and so forth.”

3. Do Not Fall for Specific Longevity Diets

8. Brush and Floss

A dentist recommended, “brush your teeth and gums 2x a day, but night is more important. Same with flossing. Moreover, don’t brush right after eating because the sugar will “weaken” your teeth temporarily, and scrubbing while it is weakened will hurt your protective layer.” Good to know!
